Central Baptist Church exists to help people know God, grow in their faith, and live out their purpose in Christ. Our vision is to see lives transformed by the gospel, set free, empowered, and serving in God's Kingdom.
Our Mission
The mission of Central Baptist Church is to help people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through faith, family, and fellowship within the body of Christ.
Our BELIEFS
The Bible is God’s inspired and trustworthy Word, revealing His truth, His plan of salvation, and His will for humanity. It is the ultimate authority for faith, life, and Christian unity.
God is the one true and living Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of all things. Perfect in holiness, power, and knowledge, He eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Man is God’s special creation, made in His image with inherent dignity and worth. Though sin has separated humanity from God, His grace offers forgiveness, restoration, and new life through Christ.

Salvation is God’s free gift through Jesus Christ, who redeems sinners by His death and resurrection. Through faith in Him, believers are forgiven, transformed, and promised eternal life.

Pastor Cesar Campos is originally from Washington State and serves as the Lead Pastor of Central Baptist Church. Pastor Cesar has served in a variety of ministry and leadership roles, bringing experience from diverse cultural, professional, and church backgrounds. He is passionate about sharing the Gospel and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Christian Shelton answered God’s call to ministry with a desire to serve God's Kingdom. As Associate Pastor of Central Baptist Church, he oversees the youth and children’s ministries, helping young people grow in their faith, understand God’s Word, and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
Bob and Wendy Jensen are lifelong residents of El Centro and faithful members of Central Baptist Church. Bob serves as a deacon, helping support the spiritual and practical needs of the congregation, while Wendy faithfully serves as the church secretary, assisting with the day-to-day ministry of the church.
